Rules of the Road!
"Go ZoomZ" — where little wheels spark big dreams! A break down of everything you need to know before race day: Please read carefully and revert back here for quick reference.
Registration & Paperwork

Sign up under the "EVENTS" page for each race.

Required: Signed ZoomZ Consent & Waiver Form (provided onsite or online before arrival).

Check‑In: Arrive 30 minutes before your class’s start time for vehicle inspection and driver’s meeting or as other wise stated in the Race introduction email you receive after signing up.
Age Divisions & Classes
Parents Drive:
Remote Control Division
Ages- 2-4 Stock Only
Stock Division:
3–4, 5–6, 7–8 6V & 12V Factory motors/gears; cosmetic mods only
Modified Division:
4–6, 7–8 Up to 24V Motors, gearboxes, rubber tires, safety upgrades
Vehicle Requirements & Inspection

Must originate as a factory electric ride‑on (Power Wheels‑type).

Four wheels only — no scooters, dirt bikes, or push‑starts.
-
Stock classes: no motor, gearbox, or voltage upgrades (cosmetic changes only).
-
Modified: max 24V; live axles, functional brakes and kill switch encouraged.
-
Tires: plastic only for Stock. Rubber tires allowed for Modified, unless advised in the individual race Welcome email.

Secure batteries in original mounts or a contained compartment away from the driver.

All doors, hoods, and tailgates must be fastened shut; eliminate sharp edges.
Safety Gear (Required for All Classes)

Helmet required! Full‑coverage helmet in modified division.

Closed‑toe shoes (sneakers or boots)
-
Seat belt (Modified & Outlaw)
-
Functional brakes (Modified & Outlaw)
-
Wheelie bars (Outlaw recommended)
Race Format & Conduct
-
Track: 60ft. drag straightaway
-
Starts: Standing start; parent may stand alongside only in Parent Drive & Stock classes (≥5ft from vehicle)
-
No bumping or intentional contact; stay in lane and on track.
-
Disqualifications (DQ): Push starts, intentional collisions, shortcutting, parent-assisted launch, unsafe vehicles.
Protest Procedure
-
$25 protest fee paid upfront
-
If protest upheld, winner reimbursed; losing racer DQ’d; fees donated to ZoomZ series fund
-
Two DQs for cheating → season ban
This is for the kids, don't cheat!
Pit & Spectator Guidelines
-
Only one parent/guardian in pit area per racer
-
Spectators stand behind barriers; do not cross track boundaries
-
Parents must attend driver’s meeting and remain trackside during their child’s race
Awards & Scoring
-
2025–26 Season: Single-event trophies for top 3 finishers
-
State Championship: Held at REV Alaska Car Show, summer 2026
-
2026–27 Season: Season-long point series culminating in championship finale and Single Event trophies.

REV Royale registration fee is $20 per racer. This includes open warm up time and the Bracket Racing Competition. Car's are provided if you don't have one.
